On equinox eve the north wind wipped under our caravan making it feel more like an ice cube tray than a trailer. The sun tight-roped for an instant on the equator, brushed the frost off her feet and onto our trailer roof, then split southward for the winter. She was in no little hurry to cut her losses from the summer of 2012 (the wettest summer in a British century, the driest summer in the US) and I suppose is recharging her batteries on a beach somewhere on the underside. So we’re honkering down and hoping to survive beyond winter solstice. We’ve gone to a two bar fire
